With the effects of Storm Amy taking full force on pitches around the county, Mayo GAA are convening to decide whether matches will go ahead over the weekend.
The county is one of those being worst impacted by the Status Yellow and Orange warnings, and the sporting sphere is also being impacted by the wind and rain. So far, one soccer fixture has fallen by the wayside.

On the GAA scene, the Mayo Senior, Intermediate, Junior, and Junior 'B' Championship semi-finals, as well as the relegation play-offs, could also potentially be rained off as a result.
At present, members of the Mayo GAA Executive are liaising with regard to the suitability of venues to host ties. A decision is expected by the mid-afternoon today (Friday, October 3).
