STORM AMY MAYO UPDATE: Ireland West Airport schedule impacted by conditions

Aer Lingus flight EI916 from Ireland West Airport, Knock, to London Heathrow has been cancelled due to Storm Amy, affecting Mayo passengers

The impact of Storm Amy in Mayo is now being felt in the skies, as a flight from Ireland West Airport Knock has fallen foul of the Status Orange wind warning.

The airport is in the centre of one of the most heavily affected areas by rainfall in the county, and now one plane will stay grounded.

Aer Lingus flight EI916 was due to depart at 1.05 pm today (Friday, October 3) for London Heathrow. However, the flight has now been cancelled.

Other flights from the airport heading for London Stansted, Manchester, Bristol, and Faro left earlier in the day, albeit with a delay to take-off times.

The airport is operating as normal presently. However, passengers are advised to keep an eye on all channels from airlines they are flying with for any updates to the schedule.
