BRIDIE Prendergast (née Forde), Culnacleha, Tulrahan, Mayo, and formerly of Knockatee, Dunmore, RIP

BRIDIE Prendergast (née Forde), Culnacleha, Tulrahan, Mayo, and formerly of Knockatee, Dunmore, died peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, surrounded by her family.

Blessed with a kind and unassuming disposition, Bridie was highly thought of by all who knew her around the region.

She was a good and helpful neighbour who could always be relied on to lend a helping hand when the need arose.

Mary and Martin Regan from Cloonfad were among those that joined in the tributes. “Bridie was a lovely friendly lady and she always spoke so highly of her girls and, later in life, of her grandchildren.”

Reposing was at Donnellan’s Funeral Home, Ballyhaunis, with removal to St Mary’s Church, Logboy, with interment in Tulrahan Cemetery following Requiem Mass.

Bridie, who, was predeceased by her parents, Delia and Paddy, and her sisters Mary, Kathleen and Bernie, will be sadly missed by her husband Eddie, daughters Sinead (Dyer), Gráinne (Sullivan) and Michelle, sons-in-law Brian (Bekan), Moss (Cork) and Michelle’s partner Shane (Claremorris), brother John Joe, sister Lucy (Dunmore), grandchildren, niece, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.
