Excitement was the primary emotion in MacHale Park yesterday evening as Mayo got the better of Galway to book their spot in the Connacht Under-20 Championship final.

On the evening, Keith Higgins' side put in a free-flowing first half attacking display with the wind at their backs to punch their ticket to the decider.

They will await the victors of the semi-final meeting of Galway and Roscommon next Wednesday in Castlebar.

The final will take place on Wednesday, April 29.
