FIVE major water and sewerage schemes are due to commence construction in the next two years following the announcement of a €36.6 million investment in the county.
Last week, the Minister for Environment, John Gormley announced the funding for local water and sewerage schemes throughout the county. The schemes which will benefit from the funding will be the Belmullet, Foxford, Killala and Charlestown sewerage schemes as well as the Cong Water Supply scheme and the Lough Mask Water Treatment Plant Upgrade.
The investment was welcomed by Minister Dara Calleary.
