Arrests made after series of car break-ins

GARDAÍ in Westport have  made two arrests near Silver Strand in Louisburgh and recovered some materials which they believe may have been stolen from previous car break-ins across the county.

LOUISBURGH
GARDAÍ in Westport yesterday evening (Monday) made two arrests near Silver Strand in Louisburgh and recovered some materials which they believed may have been stolen from previous car break-ins across the county.
A spokesperson for the gardaí said break-ins to MPVs had increased substantially in recent months and the gardaí issued a warning to anyone who is leaving their car unattended to make sure no valuables whatsoever are visible.
“It does not matter whether you are parked in a remote beach car park or on a busy street  do not leave anything visible.
