2: WATCH OUT FOR WASTEFULNESS

LOOKING back on Sunday's game, one has to wonder where the FBD Cup would be resting for the year if Mayo had been a little more accurate.

The inaccuarcy was evident in the first half and raised its head again in the dying moments when chances to seal the deal were squandered.

It comes with the territory that, when encouraging players to be brave with their shot selection that efforts can go wide or drop short of the mark.

It is also worth noting that supporters, desperate to see a return to the heyday of free-flowing forward flair, are more than happy to see lads 'having a go', so to speak.

However, as the FBD disappears into the rear-view mirror and the league goes on, you'd expect to see improvements on that front.
