The Irish retailer which was founded in Mayo launched the year-long fundraising campaign with a goal of raising over €250,000 to support families affected by childhood cancer.

Leading Irish retailer Carraig Donn has announced a new charity partnership with Cancer Fund for Children for 2026, committing to raise significant funds throughout the year to support families affected by childhood cancer.

Cancer Fund for Children is currently developing a multimillion-euro therapeutic short break centre for families living with a childhood cancer diagnosis. The facility, to be known as Daisy Lodge, will provide families with the opportunity to spend precious time together and create lasting memories away from the challenges of treatment and hospital visits. The centre is due to open in February 2027.

Carraig Donn says it is honoured to collaborate with the charity and support its mission to provide vital emotional and practical support for families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

With 43 stores across Ireland and a thriving online platform at carraigdonn.com, Carraig Donn has become one of Ireland’s most recognisable retail brands. Known for its strong Irish heritage and exclusive range of modern fashion and lifestyle collections, the retailer remains deeply connected to communities throughout the country.

Pat Hughes, Group CEO of Carraig Donn, said: “Partnering with Cancer Fund for Children is a great honour for all of us at Carraig Donn. We are incredibly proud to support the vital work they do for families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis. Together with our dedicated teams across Ireland, we are committed to raising funds throughout the year to help make those precious family moments possible.”

Cancer Fund for Children provides emotional, social and therapeutic support to children, young people and families throughout every stage of a cancer journey. The charity also delivers support in family homes, communities and hospitals across the island of Ireland, ensuring that no child has to face cancer alone.

A key focus of the partnership is supporting Daisy Lodge Mayo, the charity's second therapeutic short-break centre, due to open in Spring 2027. The facility will offer families a place to rest, recover and reconnect away from the demands of treatment and hospital visits, significantly increasing the number of families who can benefit from therapeutic breaks each year.

A Year of Fundraising

Throughout 2026, customers, colleagues and communities across Ireland will have multiple opportunities to get involved and support the partnership. From May, customers shopping in all 43 Carraig Donn stores and online have been invited to donate €1 at checkout through Pennies, Ireland's leading micro-donation platform. Following a successful pilot in the Westport store, where more than half of customers chose to donate, the initiative has now rolled out nationwide, making it easier than ever for customers to support families affected by childhood cancer.

Charity Prize Draw

The partnership's first fundraising campaign saw Carraig Donn launch a limited-time online charity draw in association with Sunway Holidays. Powered by iDonate, the campaign offered customers the chance to win a holiday to sunny Spain alongside a Carraig Donn styling experience. The draw raised more than €5,000, with all proceeds supporting Cancer Fund for Children.

Exclusive Charity Products

Later this year, Carraig Donn will introduce a collection of exclusive charity products, with proceeds from every sale going directly towards Cancer Fund for Children's services and Daisy Lodge Mayo.

Community Events and Team Engagement

Carraig Donn colleagues across all 43 stores will take part in a wide range of fundraising activities throughout the year, including Tea Days, fashion shows, local community events and staff-led initiatives. These events are designed not only to raise vital funds but also to bring communities together in support of families facing childhood cancer.

Making Every Contribution Count

While each fundraising initiative plays an important role individually, together they represent Carraig Donn's ambition to create lasting impact through collective generosity. Whether through a €1 donation at checkout, attending a fundraising event, purchasing an exclusive charity product or making a direct donation via the campaign's iDonate page, every contribution helps provide comfort, hope and practical support to children and families when they need it most

At the heart of the partnership is a shared belief that small acts of kindness, multiplied across communities nationwide, can create extraordinary change. As a proud Irish family business, Carraig Donn is honoured to stand alongside Cancer Fund for Children and the thousands of families they support every year. Together, we can help create brighter moments, precious memories and hope for families across Ireland.
