Former RTÉ star Ryan Tubridy says it's good to be back on the radio in Ireland following his departure from the national broadcaster last summer.

The ex Late Late Show host, who moved to London over Christmas to take up a role with Virgin Radio in the UK, has also launched his new Sunday morning radio show which can be heard on several local radio stations across Ireland.

The new two-hour show will be simulcast, from 10am to 12midday each Sunday, on Q102 in Dublin, 96FM in Cork, Live 95 in Limerick and LMFM in Louth/Meath.

"Good to be back on the airwaves in Ireland I must say even though I'm living in London for most of the week and sometimes coming and going and it's really lovely to have this connection with you all and I hope life is good," he told listeners at the beginning of the new show.

"I've got a great feeling for 2024 - from the moment I woke up on the 1st of January last week, I said this is going to be good. So now we are here - little bit London, little bit Ireland - and it's going to be great and I'm like a one-man human Anglo -Irish agreement," he quipped.

Roxette's Listen to your Heart and Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way were the first two songs to be played on the new show.
