The talented footballer shone as Andy Moran’s men downed Kerry to bring Sam Maguire home
The good times just keep on rolling for Mayo GAA star Sam Callinan.
Only in July, the young, talented half-back was at the scene of history in Croke Park, playing a major role as Andy Moran’s men banished the ghosts of yesteryear and brought Sam Maguire back to the West.
The partying and revelry that followed for weeks was something else as Callinan and his teammates toasted a generational achievement.
However, there is plenty more cause for celebration for the Ballina Stephenites man and his close circle this week, as he achieved an incredible academic milestone.
Today (Wednesday, September 2), Callinan was in University College Dublin to graduate. The former St Muredach’s College student started studying for his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance in 2022.
Today brings to a very successful end four years of studies in the capital for the 23-year-old.
