The iconic attacker and All-Star shared the snaps as the pair tied the knot at Mount Juliet Estate in Kilkenny
What a year 2026 has been for Cillian O’Connor.
After a footballing career with more accolades than you could shake a stick at, there was a real fear that the most deadly forward in footballing history would go out without a Celtic Cross in his back pocket.
Seven Connacht titles under his belt, two All-Stars on his mantlepiece and 34-367 to his name is no mean feat. However, the big one which trumps all else on the pitch came on July 26, 2026.
That day, the Ballintubber native was part of history as the Green and Red scaled the summit and banished the demons of the past, downing Kerry to end the famine and bring the All-Ireland title back to the West.
There has been plenty of partying and celebration since. However, for one of the most legendary figures in the county’s history, a seismic moment far away from the four lines took centre stage last weekend.
Then, O’Connor and long-time sweetheart Hannah Wallace married at Mount Juliet Estate in Kilkenny on a special day for the pair, their families and friends.
The pair shared a series of beautiful snaps from the day on their Instagram page to their followers.

Hannah is from Dublin, and many Mayo footballers past and present attended the event, including current Mayo boss Andy Moran and player Aidan O’Shea.
Also present on the day was one Sam Maguire.
Many people took to the comments on social media to wish the pair well as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
