The final eight sides in the race for the Sweeney and Moclair Cups will be confirmed by the end of the weekend

Mayo GAA have confirmed the date, time, and venue of the draws for the knockout rounds of the Mayo GAA Senior and Intermediate Championships.

This weekend, 16 intriguing and fascinating fixtures will take place across the county as sides battle furiously to keep their Moclair and Sweeney cup dreams alive.

However, two days from now, only eight teams will be left standing with their aspirations intact and with their names in the hat for the draw.

Now, Mayo GAA have confirmed precisely where and when the draw will take place.

The pairings will be drawn in Gilmartin Park, the home of Kiltimagh, on Sunday, September 6.

The draw occurs after the Group Four meeting of Breaffy and Knockmore, which throws in at 3.30 pm.

There is no definite scheduled time, as the Central Competitions Committee is required to ensure that the final standings in all groups are accurate and correct.

The first-placed sides in every group are guaranteed a home quarter-final. The second-placed sides will be on the road for the last eight. The last-placed teams will be in the relegations semi-finals.

The draw for the relegation play-offs in both the Senior and Intermediate Championships will also take place.

There will be no live-stream of the draws.
