ALL-IRELAND SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GROUP STAGE
Mayo v Cavan
Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Sunday at 2.30pm
Summer is here, and the All-Ireland championships are back once again. The hopeful among us will be itching to see the Green and Red scale the summit and bring Sam back to reside in the shadow of The Reek.
First though, the men from Cavan who will be coming to MacHale Park with a point to prove following last year’s abject showing in the same venue.

ALL-IRELAND UNDER-20 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL
Mayo v Louth
Pearse Park (Longford), Friday at 7pm
The fans of Peadar Gardiner’s Mayo side might not even have exhaled following the chaotic, hugely exciting carnage of the Connacht Final some 16 days before tonight’s last-four clash with Louth.
If this chance to book tickets to the All-Ireland Final is even half as exciting as that one, then supporters will be in for a treat. Mayo showed craft, skill, and composure when the chips were down in the Connacht Final, but Louth will provide all of that and more in a game that promises to be a cracker.

CONNACHT CUP FINAL
Castlebar Celtic v Mervue United
Moyne Villa (Galway), Sunday at 3pm
There’s no doubt about it, Stevie Gavin’s hoops are on a roll right now. Last week’s FAI Cup win over North End United in Wexford was historic; they are in a solid position to defend their Super League crown, and now, on Sunday, they could land even more silverware.
Mervue United represent a serious threat, though. The Galway side are finely poised for a winner-takes-all last day of Galway Premier League action with Salthill Devon, a club Celtic know all too well.

NICKY RACKARD CUP GROUP STAGE
Fermanagh v Mayo
Brester Park, Eniskillen (Fermanagh), Saturday at 2pm
Mayo have been imperious in the Nicky Rackard Cup in 2025, and have already secured their passage to the competition decider in Croke Park on the June bank-holiday weekend.
Fermanagh, by contrast, have had a wretched campaign, and sit rock bottom of the table without so much as a draw to their name.
Even with a raft of changes, expect the Green and Red to head back down the road with maximum returns.

ELVERYS SPORTS SUPER LEAGUE
Ballina Town v Westport United
Belleek Park, Saturday at 6.30pm
With Castlebar Celtic away on cup duty once more, it will be essential for the Coveys to build up a head of steam and put as much daylight as possible between the pair at the summit.
Ballina Town aren’t bad either, mind you. Since their April 3 loss to Celtic, they’ve gone on a winning spree, with a combined scoreline of 20-1 across their last four ties.
