Another chaotic gameweek was the order of the day in Mayo soccer, as there were plenty of twists and turns across the four divisions, as well as the three Mayo FC games.
Here, we’ll try to give a small flavour of each kick of the ball around the grounds.

Super League
In the absence of Castlebar Celtic in their cup exploits, the other Super League clubs stepped up to the plate in style.
Braces from Brazil’s Miquieas Dos Santos Souza Meireles and Brendan Lavelle, as well as strikes from Goodhope Mutendebvure, Conor Gorman, and substitute Ryan Moran, helped Ballina Town to a 7-1 thrashing of Kiltimagh Knock United.
It was a tale of missed penalties in the clash between Ballyheane and Glenhest Rovers. First, Levi Barrett couldn’t find the net from the spot before half time, but atoned for his error moments later.
Next, Sean Barrett squandered the chance to draw level with a penalty of his own. Four later, Shane Finnerty made it two-nil and wrapped up a comfortable win.
Elsewhere, Westport United extended the breathing room at the top of the table when Dylan O’Malley’s early strike helped them to a narrow win over Ballinrobe Town.

Castlebar Celtic 'B' were also off on Connacht Shield final business, but that didn't detract from the madness.
The highlight of this one was undoubtedly the six-goal thriller between Straide & Foxford United and Killala. Raymond Murphy put visitors Killala ahead early doors, before Luke Ruane equalised before the break.
Tommy Muldoon re-established Killala’s lead in the 61st, before chaos ensued. Kevin McDermott looked to have grabbed an 88th-minute equaliser, but the parity lasted mere seconds as Muldoon put Killala ahead with time almost up.
Almost was a key word, as McDermott rounded off a brace of his own to earn Strade & Foxford a share of the spoils.
Oisín Ryall and Daniel O’Malley grabbed braces for Westport United ‘B’ as they recorded a facile 7-1 win over Iorras Aontaithe.
Ballyglass were in rousing form as they beat Crossmolina 4-1, while Simon Butler and sub Mark Maloney’s strikes on either side of half-time earned Claremorris a victory over Kilmore.

Swinford’s Aiden Dunleavy was on fire as his four-goal haul helped them to a 7-1 win over Ballyvary Blue Bombers.
Conall MacGabhann was in great form as well, as his two late goals rounded off a hat-trick, as well as being vital scores in Partry Athletic’s 4-2 win over Conn Rangers ‘B’
Simon Duffy’s 81st-minute goal was also vital, as Fahy Rovers edged Snugboro 2-1.
Claremorris and Kiltimagh Knock United ‘B’ conceded their ties against Bangor Hibs and Ballina Town ‘B’ respectively.

Colm Campbell’s early strike for Achill Rovers was cancelled out minutes later by Ballinrobe Town ‘B’s Sean Vahey.
It stayed that way until after half-time, when Chris Western and Michael Moran’s second-half goals helped the islanders to a 3-1 win.
Ethan Reilly’s first-half brace was crucial as Glenhest Rovers ‘B’ eked out a 3-2 win over Westport United ‘C’, while Kevin Walsh scored two of his own for Castlebar Town as they cruised to a 4-0 Fahy Rovers ‘B’ win.

Cillian Keating’s 70th-minute goal was the difference as the Under-15s edged Sligo Rovers 2-1 in Milebush. Tony Óg Cunningham’s first-half goal for the hosts was cancelled out by Ciaran Gannon twelve later, which set up a grand-stand finish.
Anthony Slabik’s late goal added a sense of jeopardy for the Under-14s, but ultimately it was too little, too late as Sligo Rovers ran out 3-2 winners in the showgrounds.
Lastly, a solid second-half showing from Sligo Rovers was crucial as they ran out 5-1 winners in the end against the Under-19s.
