Ballina's Harry West has been ruled out of today's crucial match between Ireland and Fiji at the U20 World Cup in South Africa. The talented Moysider had been selected at full-back for the must-win game after coming off the bench impressively against Australia last time out, but a leg injury picked up in training has ended his campaign.
It is a big blow to the Irish squad who were already stretched after the suspension of two players for infractions in the opening matches against England and Australia.
However, there is still great Mayo interest in today's big game in Stellenbosch with Geesala's Fiachna Barrett picked in the front row against the powerful Fijians.
