EVELYN Hatton, (née Cafferky), Cabinteely, Dublin, and formerly of Aughadeffin, Kilkelly, Mayo, died peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Annabeg Nursing Home, Ballybrack, Dublin.

She was a sister of Johnny Cafferky, Aughadeffin.

In a post, her friend Elaine O’Reilly paid this tribute. “Evelyn was such a warm and gentle person, a true lady and a loyal friend and we enjoyed many long lunches together after she retired from Inchicore College.

“She was so proud of her family and I felt like I knew each member personally as she recounted their activities, successes and achievements. I am thinking of you all at this very sad time.”

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely, and interment took place in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Evelyn, who was predeceased by her brothers Martin and paddy and her sister Mary, will be sadly missed by her husband Raymond, daughter Karen and son Paul, son-in-law Damien, daughter-in-law Liz, her adored grandchildren Oisín, Niall, Sally, Keelan, Christopher and Esmé, her sister Kitty and brother Johnny, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
