'Always had a smile' - tributes paid after Mayo woman's passing

Theresa Thomas, Bohogue, Ballyhaunis, Mayo RIP

The death took place last week at the Mayo Hospice in Castlebar of Theresa Thomas, Bohogue, Ballyhaunis, and formerly of Wexford.

Theresa was well known around the general Ballyhaunis area, where she had many good friends.

Her quick wit and sense of humour endeared her to many, and she always enjoyed sharing time and banter with her friends.

Among those joining in the tributes to Theresa was Noelle Keegan from Ballyhaunis.

“Theresa was a lovely lady. She loved a chat and a joke. Theresa always had a smile on her face, no matter where you met her.”

Carmel and Stephen Bland commented: “Theresa had never-ending strength, courage, and positivity through her long illness. She will be sorely missed.”

The community extends condolences to the Thomas and Caulfield families on the passing of Theresa.

Reposing was in Gavin’s Funeral Home on Sunday evening, and interment took place in the local cemetery following the funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Ballyhaunis, on Monday.

Theresa will be sadly missed by her partner Chris, son Aaron, daughter Amy, her mother Bridie, her sister Mary, niece Kelly, and nephew Thomas, extended family, neighbours, and friends.
