Balla Community Centre to form new Community First Responders group

A call has gone out to residents of Balla and surrounding areas to help establish a new Community First Responders Group, aimed at providing rapid, life-saving assistance when medical emergencies occur locally.

Balla Community Centre is inviting members of the community to step forward and be part of a team that could make a critical difference in those crucial minutes before emergency services arrive.

The proposed First Responders Group would support neighbours, friends and families during medical emergencies, helping to strengthen local resilience and improve outcomes for patients across the area.

Organisers stress that no previous medical experience is required, as full training will be provided. Instead, the focus is on recruiting people who are willing to help and who have a strong commitment to their community.

Anyone interested in getting involved or learning more about the proposed group is encouraged to contact Balla Community Centre on 094 9365846 or 087 1850860.
