Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow/ice warning for counties including Mayo. The warning will come into effect from 9 pm this evening (March 12) until tomorrow, Friday (March 13).
Showers may fall as sleet or snow, with possible accumulations on higher ground, leading to difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.
Met Éireann has advised that caution be exercised.
