The people of Mayo have been invited to dig their gowns and suits out of the wardrobe for Croí’s ‘Go Red’ ball on Friday, March 21.
The red-tie event, which is taking place for the 37th time, aims to raise funds for those with cardiovascular health issues in the West of Ireland.

The ball will take place in Galway’s Galmont Hotel and those in attendance are encouraged to add the colour red to their outfit in any way possible, whether that be an all-red outfit or accessorising with a tie or scarf.
Those in attendance will start the evening with a cocktail reception at 6.30 pm, followed by a four-course meal, a set from comedian Barry Murphy, a musical performance by the band Smash Hits, followed by a DJ playing music into the early hours of the morning.
For the third successive year, Irish Life will be sponsoring the glamorous event.

Croí Chief Executive Mark O’Donnell said events like this are crucial in the running of charities like Croí, which is the leading heart disease and stroke prevention charity in the west of Ireland.
"The Go Red Ball is a true celebration of community spirit and generosity,” he stated. "Every ticket purchased, and every sponsorship pledge helps us continue our life-changing work.”
Tickets for the ‘Croí Go Red Ball’ are €160 and can be purchased by contacting christine@croi.ie
