Suspension upheld for Mayo's Mark Ronaldson; Fakes banknotes in circulation in Belmullet; RTÉ documentary on Westport’s musical barber
Ronaldson suspended for glamour Dublin game
Castlebar's Neil Douglas may be in line for a dramatic call-up to the Mayo team for Sunday’s National League Division 1 match against Dublin. John O’Mahony will probably choose between Douglas and Alan Freeman after Mark Ronaldson had his four week suspension upheld following a meeting of the Central Hearings Committee in Croke Park last night (Wednesday). The Shrule/Glencorrib forward will also miss the away trip to Derry on Saturday, March 13. He has the right to appeal the decision but it seems unlikely this will happen.

The gardaí have advised both the business communities and shoppers in the area to be on the lookout for the notes, as they are believed to be of very good quality. RTÉ Radio 1 documentary to feature Westport 80-year-old
This Saturday, March 6 at 6.00pm, RTÉ Radio 1’s Documentary on One will feature Westport native Larry Hingerton. The documentary entitled ‘Two Hundred Shaves a Day’ tells the story of 80-year-old Larry Hingerton, weaving together two strands which have shaped his life - barbering and music. ‘Two Hundred Shaves a Day’ mixes past and present and offers a glimpse into the life of this ‘remarkably generous, knowledgeable and modest man’.
