GAME REVIEW Just Cause 2

The breathtaking range of stunts in Just Cause 2, which was released on March 23, make it so ridiculous it’s fun.

Just Cause 2
You are agent Rico Rodriguez. Your orders are simple: Hunt down and execute a rogue agent that has stolen top-secret intelligence and millions of dollars.
The target is Tom Sheldon, Rico’s former commanding officer, mentor and friend, a man who knows Rico better than himself. Set on the island of Panau, where three rival gangs wage war while the ruthless dictator Baby Panay rules the island with an iron fist.
In executing his missions, Rico has over 100 vehicles to choose from, and his terrain includes land, sea and air. Rico can also execute a range of breathtaking new stunts, utilising his trademark parachute and grapple.
The game may seem a bit ridiculous, but it’s all the more fun for it. Just Cause, when first released on the PS2, was not a huge success for Eidos. But, could this sequel prove to be a  big hit? You decide. When playing Just Cause 2, I felt that you couldn’t take it seriously due to its ridiculous stunts, but I also felt it made the game ridiculously fun. You spend more time messing about free roaming than completing the campaign itself. Climbing to the top of a crane, blowing it up and skydiving to the bottom, opening your parachute just before you hit the ground. Great game, fun to play. Worth a look.
