MASTER OF CEREMONIES Today FM’s Fergal D’Arcy will MC the upcoming Battle of the Bands in Breaffy.

The Battle of the Bands in Breaffy will take place in Breaffy House Resort on Friday, January 29, to raise funds for Western Care Association local services. Seven local bands will battle it out for the fabulous first prize of €500 and two days in a recording studio.
The bands taking part in the keenly contested event are Blood Sledge Electric Death Chicken, Jam Shugar, Raging Sons, Receptor, Unwritten, Wavelength and Work in Progress. The judging panel will be comprised of three local celebrity judges, and the winning band will be the one that receives the highest combined vote from the panel and the audience on a 50/50 basis. Each member of the audience can purchase votes on the night and support their favourite act.
Special guest MC for the Battle of the Bands will be Today FM’s Fergal D’Arcy, while local DJ Neil Toner will keep the place hopping between acts. Special guests Dublin-based Spring Break will finish out the night rocking into the early hours of the morning. There will also be a monster raffle also on the night. The first prize will be two tickets to Electric Picnic 2016, with many other fantastic prizes up for grabs.
