Sunday brings with it a fresh start for Mayo GAA, as Andy Moran is primed to take the reins of the county which he served with distinction and pride in the National League for the first time.

Pearse Stadium in Salthill will host the latest chapter of this famed rivalry on the Atlantic Coast, as Galway look to keep on the right track following their narrow victory over the same adversaries in last weekend's FBD League final.

Moran has made a number of changes from the starting side last time out.

There are a handful of survivors.

The Mayo side is as follows, with throw-in in the opener pencilled in for 1.45 pm.

Mayo: Robbie Hennelly, Eoin McGreal, Rory Brickenden, Enda Hession, Sam Callinan, Michael Plunkett, Sean Morahan, Bob Tuohy, David McBrien, Jack Carney, Ryan O Donoghue, Jordan Flynn, Darragh Beirne, Aidan O Shea, Tommy Conroy.

Subs:  Jack Livingstone, Liam Golden, Stephen Coen, Fenton Kelly, Paddy Durcan, Conal Dawson, Seamus Howard, Diarmuid Duffy, Fergal Boland, Cian McHale, James Carr.
