Body recovered from the River Moy in Ballina by the emergency services

Gardaí together with the rescue and emergency services attended at an incident at the River Moy in Ballina earlier this afternoon. It is understood that a male, believed to be in his late 40s, entered the river at the Bachelor's Walk area and a search and rescue effort was launched shortly after 12 noon. After an extensive search of the river, a body has now been recovered.
