THE man found dead on a train at Westport Station yesterday afternoon (Monday) is not believed to have died under suspicious circumstances.
Gardaí are not looking for anyone else in connection with the sudden death but, at the time of going to press last night, were unable to give any information on the dead man’s name or age as he had not been identified prior to being brought to the morgue at Mayo General Hospital.
It is believed the deceased man was found in one of the train’s toilets shortly after the lunchtime service from Heuston in Dublin pulled into Westport train station.
The local fire brigade were called to assist with his removal.
