A 28-year-old mother of two who was found dead in her home in Mayo Abbey died from blunt-force trauma to the head, her inquest heard yesterday (Monday).
Mother of two, Sarah Staunton of Portagh, Mayo Abbey, was found dead in her home on December 14 last at 1.45pm.
Inspector Amanda Gaynor sought an adjournment to the inquest on the grounds that a person was to face trial for her murder. Coroner John O’Dwyer acceded to her request.
Ray Gralton (22) of Mount Prospect, Roscommon, is charged with murdering Ms Staunton at her home on December 13. He faces trial in 2015.
The inquest is expected to proceed when the investigation is fully determined.
