Two men received stitches after being stabbed in the early hours of Monday morning on Main Street, Ballyhaunis
Two men receive knife injuries in Ballyhaunis
Two men received knife wounds in a double stabbing in Ballyhaunis in the early hours of yesterday (Monday morning). The incident took place on Main Street at approximately 2.45am.
The two men were taken by ambulance to Mayo General Hospital.
They were released at 9am yesterday morning having received stitches. One man received a facial wound, while the other man received a knife wound to his back.
Two men were arrested at the scene for public order offences, and were later released. A file is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.
