1: MAYO EMBRACE THE TWO-POINTERS

Raising eleven orange flags across three hours of football isn't bad going by any metric.

In 2025, one of the main points which stuck in the craws of supporters was the lack of two-pointers. Other counties seemed more willing to let fly from outside the arc.

This year, it seems the directive is that Mayo want to join the party, and then some.

Jack Carney is the epitome of this blooming flower. Both in the Roscommon game and in Tuam, he shouldered the responsibility of getting big scores.

Also worth noting is the spread of players chipping in in this regard.

Eight men have delivered the goods when it comes to two-pointers, which could prove crucial coming down the track.
