CONNACHT IHC FINAL

Tooreen 3-21 Meelick-Eyrecourt 2-12

A return to the scene of quarter-final success was on the agenda, and once again victory was the story of the day as Tooreen wrote another chapter of their incredible journey, bringing home the title of Connacht kings.

The final result tells its own tale.

Ray Larkin’s troops were exemplary, with Liam Lavin’s mastery of the hurl and sliotar a joy to watch.

Seán Kenny’s penalty played a decisive part in forging a seven-point chasm at the changing of ends.

By the end, a twelve-point gap underscored a superiority and set the party in motion.
