Knockmore's Ciara Durkan holds on to the ball
The Mayo LGFA Gaelic football championships are in full swing. Round two of the senior competition saw last year's finalists Westport and Knockmore bag big wins.
Especially Knockmore have been in top form so far. Stephen Sweeney's team dominated Burrishoole in round one, kept them to only one goal in the entire sixty minutes.
And in round two, Kilmovee Shamrocks were also put to the sword as Knockmore racked up a 6-11 score line against them, tol top their group.
But then, senior title defenders Westport are showing why they are current county champions. With two wins out of two, Pop Geraghty's team have secured the top spot in their group as well.
