The Mayo LGFA senior team needs a new manager for the next season.
Liam McHale stepped down after two years in charge, following Mayo's relegation win over Leitrim concluding a difficult season.
Many players left the panel after McHale's first year in charge, and the team was subsequently relegated from Division 1 in the LGFA National Football League.
Mayo only managed one win in the seven matches and ended up bottom of the table. Then, in the All-Ireland senior championship, Mayo lost against Kerry and Cork making the relegation play-off necessary.
Liam McHale and his players avoided the drop to intermediate with a good performance against Leitrim in Tubbercurry.
And now, the hunt for a new manager is on. Mayo LGFA have announced, they are inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Mayo LGFA Senior Manager.
Expressions of interest are to be sent by e-mail to secretary.Mayo@lgfa.ie
Full applications to be submitted by August 1, which gives everyone two weeks to decide whether to throw their hat into the ring.
