This weekend's Mayo sport schedule is jam-packed, with a lot of 'do-or-die' clashes in GAA, rugby, and basketball. Meanwhile, the Super League champions get their title defence on the road.
Here, we give you the rundown of all the action. There'll be reports across the weekend here, as well as comprehensive coverage in Tuesday's Mayo News.
ALLIANZ FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
Mayo v Kerry
Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Saturday at 3 pm
It took a resurgent Mayo performance to earn a share of the spoils, and Ryan O’Donoghue was to the fore as the Green and Red produced a comeback against Armagh.
The table shows that Mayo now have a fighting chance of keeping themselves in the top flight. That said, Kerry are another side starting to show green shoots.
The imperious David Clifford was scoring for fun the last day, and it’ll take a scoring output not yet seen by Mayo if they’re to match the Kingdom.

LIDL LADIES NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
Mayo v Kerry
Swinford Amenity Park, Sunday at 2 pm
While green shoots can be seen for the Men’s footballers, the same cannot be said for the Ladies’ prospects.
They are the only side in Division One without a point to their name. Manager Liam McHale will be hoping for more of the largely-improved performance in Act Two of the Armagh clash.
However, this doesn’t represent an easy fixture by any means. The reigning All-Ireland champions come off the back of a successful trip to Tyrone, winning 4-5 to 1-7.

ALLIANZ HURLING LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
Mayo v Roscommon
Adrian Freeman Park Tooreen, Sunday at 2 pm
Mayo produced a spirited comeback at the Connacht GAA of Excellence but fell just short against a London team in strong form.
However, that’s not to take away from their excellent League form thus far. Sunday’s hosts will still be well in the mix alongside London and Wicklow should they get the better of Roscommon.
Near neighbours Roscommon will be hoping to make drastic improvements after they were hockeyed by Wicklow in Aughrim last weekend. For whoever loses this, their hopes of promotion are over.

ELVERYS SPORTS SUPER LEAGUE
Castlebar Celtic v Ballinrobe Town
Celtic Park, Friday at 7.30 pm
It’s rare that you can even type this, but reigning league champions Castlebar Celtic are coming into this one on the back of a loss. There will be disappointment in losing 3-0 to Villa FC down in Waterford, although the Mayo men gave an encouraging showing against a strong outfit.
However, attention swiftly returns to defending their Super League crown. Ballinrobe Town will be looking to get a first win on the board following their 4-2 loss to Ballina Town. That may be hard to come by, given the fact they shipped 11 league goals to Sunday’s opponents last season.

BANK OF IRELAND J1B TOP 4 SUPER 4S
Ballinrobe v Westport
Ballinrobe, Sunday at 2.30 pm
Both these sides have plenty of history this season with a win apiece, and this one, which is rescheduled from last week, will secure the bragging rights between the pair for the season.
Sunday’s visitors were the only side to get a win over Ballinrobe in the regular J1B season, notching a 30-22 victory in Westport in the competition opener. However, Ballinrobe got their own back.
With the game in the balance, Westport were on the verge of a game-deciding try in the dying echelons of their Connacht Junior Cup clash. However, Ballinrobe and Liam Burke pounced to make it 24-12. Unfortunate for Westport but excellent for the narrative as it sets up an intriguing ‘best-of-three’ clash this weekend.

MENS BASKETBALL IRELAND DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
Mayo Meteors v Limerick Celtics
Tourmakeady GAA Sports Hall, Saturday at 7 pm
This is a highly significant game for Mayo basketball. But not for Mayo Meteors. The men in black have nothing to play for and cannot qualify for the playoffs.
However, this game is crucial for Merry Monk Ballina. The Meteors' cross-county rivals should have no issue dispatching the Atlantic Eagles. If they do, and the Meteors do them a favour and get a win on the court against the current second-place Celtics, Merry Monk will leapfrog them into the playoffs.
