CONNACHT GAA is set to investigate a complaint concerning alleged anti-social behaviour which occurred at a schools football match before Christmas.
Connacht GAA CEO, John Prenty, confirmed to The Mayo News that the association had received a complaint via email from St Gerald’s College regarding the alleged behaviour which occurred at their Connacht Post Primary School’s Senior A Championship meeting with Ballinrobe Community School at Flanagan Park, Ballinrobe.
The Mayo News understands the complaint relates to the behaviour of some spectators who attended the fixture.
The game ended in a 2-18 2-15 win for Ballinrobe Community School on December 18 and passed off without any major ill-discipline on the field.
Prenty described the matter as ‘very sensitive’ and said that Connacht GAA will investigate the matter in full early in 2025.
“It has to be investigated,” said Prenty.
