Portwest, a leading global supplier of workwear and PPE for 120 years, based in Westport, is thrilled to celebrate 10 years of success in the USA with a larger-than-life presence in Times Square in New York City.

To mark this momentous occasion, they have secured a prominent billboard in Times Square, the bustling crossroads known for its iconic displays right across the world. The billboard aims to showcases Portwest's commitment to providing high-quality workwear to American workers.

The display is taking centre stage at a perfect time as thousands of Mayo GAA fans descend on the Big Apple to see the Green and Red take on New York GAA in the Connacht Championship on Sunday, April 7.

To celebrate, Portwest is inviting all Mayo fans in NYC to gather in Times Square on Saturday, April 6, at 6pm.

This exciting gathering will be a chance for Mayo GAA supporters to:

  • Show their team pride by participating in a massive Mayo GAA supporters group photo and video opportunity in the heart of New York City.

  • Gear up for the big game: Get their hands on free Mayo match merchandise, perfect for cheering on their team.

  • Kick off the celebrations: Be among the first 120 fans in Times Square at 6pm to receive a free pint voucher in Connolly’s Pub, the perfect place to continue the pre-game festivities.

“Portwest is a proud sponsor of Mayo GAA, and this Times Square event is a testament to the company's support of the Mayo community, both at home and abroad,” said Harry Hughes, CEO of Portwest. “We are extremely grateful for the incredible support we have received from our customers in the USA over the past 10 years, and of course, from all Mayo GAA supporters also. This event is our way of giving back to the local community and celebrating our shared passion for Mayo GAA.”
