Uisce Éireann crews are continuing work to repair a burst water main which is impacting supply to customers in Ballina today, (Thursday, January 29).
It is estimated by the crews that the burst will be repaired and supply will begin to return to impacted customers by 6 pm this evening.
Uisce Éireann customers in Rathroeen, the Killala Road, Culleens, Breffni, Faranoo and the surrounding areas of Ballina Town have been impacted by this outage.

Additionally, they have said that in order to prioritise the safety of repair crews, road users and the general public, traffic management has been set up to facilitate the repair.
Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann thanked impacted customers for their ongoing patience while repairs are underway:
“We understand the impact of an unplanned outage. This repair is a complex one on a busy road, but we wish to assure customers that all efforts are being made to carry out the necessary works as quickly and as safely as possible,” said Colette.
