The Mayo giants face a difficult game which will be a monumental occasion for the club

The draw for the FAI Senior Cup has been made this evening and one Mayo side will be on the road for their big game.

Castlebar Celtic have been drawn against League of Ireland side Dundalk which is set to take place at Oriel Park, Dundalk. The Louth side are currently in fourth position of the top tier of Irish football as they trail St Patrick’s Athletic, Bohemians and league leaders Shamrock Rovers.

Last weekend, Stevie Gavin’s Celtic side had a fine win on the road as they overcame Cork side Douglas Hall. Dylan Felle’s goal ensured the Hoops enjoyed a hard-fought win and as a result, the Mayo Super League champions will now look forward to their third round clash next month.

The Mayo side along with College Corinthians are the only two non League of Ireland sides left in the prestigious competition.

Castlebar Celtic’s fixture with Dundalk will take place on the weekend of August 16.
