Sancta Maria College brings back 'Grease' to the stage for its 30 years anniversary.

Sancta Maria College in Louisburgh turned back the clock in January with a high-energy production of the classic musical Grease, celebrating 30 years of staging school musicals.

The show ran for three nights from January 29 to 31, 2026, with additional matinee performances by Transition Year students, all held at the school. Set in 1950s Rydell High, Grease followed the summer romance of Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski and featured crowd favourites such as Summer Nights and Greased Lightnin’.

A long-time favourite at the school, Grease has previously been staged in 1998 and 2013, making this year’s production a fitting choice for the anniversary celebration.

These photos capture the colour, energy and talent on display, with standout performances from the cast, eye-catching costumes and lively dance numbers, and another memorable chapter added to Sancta Maria College’s musical tradition.
