Met Éireann issues snow-ice weather warning for Mayo

It is winter and people in Mayo are going to feel it over the coming weekend.

Met Éireann have issued a status yellow snow-ice weather warning for for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Connacht and Louth.

Wintry showers with some snow accumulations. Sharp or severe frost and ice are also expected.

Possible impacts: Hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution.

The warning is valid from 6pm on Saturday, January 3 until Sunday, January 4 at 11am.
