Fog warning in place as temperatures drop but weather to become unseasonally mild from tomorrow evening and throughout the weekend

Weather warning in place in Mayo for this evening and tonight

A Status Yellow Fog Warning has been issued by Met Eireann and will be in effect in Mayo from 4pm this evening, Wednesday, November 27, until 6am tomorrow morning, Thursday, November 28. Patches of fog and freezing fog are expected to thicken this evening and tonight. The warning is in place for 16 other counties also. Mayo County Council has asked road users to please exercise caution if travelling.

Temperatures in Mayo are expected to again drop just below freezing tonight before they take a major upturn. Temperatures across the county are expected to be in the low teens for General Election Polling Day on Friday, November 29, and could reach as high as 14 degrees Celsius over the weekend.
