It's possible a Midlands county will record the highest temperature in Ireland this week amid a rare September heat warning from Met Éireann.
Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow warm weather warning for the whole country on Wednesday and it covers Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
In their warning, they predicted: "Very warm and humid weather on Thursday and Friday. Daytime temperatures in excess of 27 degrees in many areas away from coasts with night time temperatures not falling below 15 degrees."
Met Éireann weather maps show parts of the Midlands, or possibly Tipperary, recording the highest temperatures with 30 or even 31 degrees possible on Friday.

Met Éireann's warning is valid from 8am Thursday until 8am on Saturday.
It is likely the all-time temperature high for September will be broken before the weekend. The previous high was 29.1C recorded at Clongowes Wood College in Kildare in 1906.
Weather Alerts Ireland told Facebook followers that 29C is possible on Thursday but that "hotter temperatures are expected tomorrow."
A temperature map from meteologix.com shows the Midlands will endure the warmest weather. People are being warned to take precautions and protect their skin from the sun blast.
