This is going to be a tasty Mayo soccer derby in the FAI Junior Cup early on in the year.
The reigning Elverys Sports Super League champions Castlebar Celtic have been drawn against Westport United - again.
Last year the two Mayo rivals met in round five of the same competition.
This time the two heavyweights already meet in round two, to be played on the week ending March 29, 2026. Both teams had a bye in round one.
In their 2025 FAI Junior Cup encounter, Celtic had the upper hand in a close enough 3-2 finish at home in Castlebar.
There are further Mayo clubs involved in round one, to be played in the week ending March 8, 2026, the fixtures are as follows:
Ballyheane v Ballina Town; Castlerea Celtic v Swinford FC; St John's Athletic v Ballyvary Blue Bombers; Ballyglass FC v Calry Bohs; Conn Rangers v Fahy Rovers - Further byes in round one: Crossmolina AFC, Ballinrobe Town, Iorras Aontaithe FC, Manulla FC
