It was a real family affair in Mayo soccer this weekend when Iorras Aontaithe went to Killala for a Premier Division match against the home side on Sunday.

The Erris men fielded a squad of 14 for the clash against the Seasiders, and eight of them were enjoying a very special day.
Iorras, who were stretched for numbers, included veterans Harry Reilly and Paul Reilly in the squad, and each of them togged out alongside three sons.

Harry and Paul have given decades of service to the Belmullet-based club, and Sunday was a momentous occasion for both families.

Both men made an entrance during the second half as the boys from the barony played their way to a 4-1 win, and it was a special moment for all involved. Paul joined his sons Jamie, Nathan, and Arran on the pitch while Harry teamed up with Cillian, Oisin, and Cormac.

The Iorras side are still in contention near the top of the table and have consolidated their position in the second tier of Mayo soccer.
