On a strange evening of results elsewhere, Castlebar Celtic simply got on with it at Concannon Park this evening.
Despite going behind in the first minute, Celtic calmly played the ball around the park, as they do, and after a quarter of an hour, got three goals in four minutes, to put the tie beyond Claremorris.
John Heneghan scored for Claremorris in their first attack. Mark Cunningham was last to touch the ball on its way to the Claremorris net for the equaliser.
Oisín Brady turned Dylan Edwards’s cross into his own net to put Celtic in front and Jason Hunt clinically finished a good move involving Dylan Edwards and Jordan Loftus to make it three-one.
Eoin Hughes added a fourth just after the half hour and substitute Liam Flatley got the fifth near the end.
The result and others sees Celtic lead the table by three points and sends Claremorris to the foot of the Super League.
