After being part of the wider Ireland panel during the rugby Autumn Internationals, without making the matchday squad, Dave Heffernan is back in the starting line-up for Connacht.

The Ballina native will play his usual position as hooker in the front row, alongside props Denis Buckley and Finlay Bealham.

The Connacht team is also bolstered by the return of seasoned internationals Bundee Aki and Mack Hansen, as well as the return from injury of fly-half Josh Ioane.
