Alan Dillon, Minister of State for Small Business and Retail & Circular Economy (Fine Gael) will be in Mexico and Guatemala
Two of Mayo's TDs look set to have a busy Saint Patrick's Day in 2026, as they will be packing their bags and jetting off across the Atlantic to represent Ireland on the national holiday.
The tradition sees ministers set off to far-flung corners of the world in order to strengthen international relations.
For Dara Calleary, the Minister for Social Protection and Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, it's a trip to Canada.
The Fianna Fáil TD will take in the sights in Ottawa and Toronto to join in the festivities.
Alan Dillon, however, will be taking in much sunnier climate. The Minister of State for Small Business and Retail & Circular Economy will make the journey to both Mexico and Guatemala.
Further details on the plans of Minister Calleary and Dillon's plans when across the water have not yet been revealed.
In total, 40 government representatives will set off to over 50 countries across the globe.
