A teenager has been arrested by gardaí after a large haul of cannabis was seized over the weekend at Dublin Airport.
Gardaí confirmed that they have arrested a male aged in his late teens following a €330,000 cannabis seizure made by Revenue officers at Dublin Airport yesterday, Sunday 10th March 2024.
A garda spokesperson confirmed that approximately 16.5 kg of herbal cannabis was discovered when Revenue officers searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight.
The male was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a garda station in Dublin.
He has since been charged and appeared before the CCJ Dublin this morning, Monday 11th March 2024.
The garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
