An Indian Summer is forecast this week with temperature highs to reach 26 degrees in the midlands on Monday.
According to Met Éireann, today, Sunday, will be dry with any remaining fog slowly lifting and warm spells of hazy sunshine developing. However, low cloud and fog may linger near some coasts.
Highs of 18 to 24 degrees are forecast, with it to be warmest in the south midlands. Light to moderate southwest winds with very high tides as a result of the recent supermoon also.
There will be largely clear weather at first tonight. Mist and fog will develop again tonight in many areas, with some dense pockets of fog likely in the west or midlands. Very light winds or near calm are also forecast.
Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees are expected later tonight.
There will be a misty start on Monday with pockets of fog slowly clearing. Tomorrow will be another warm, dry and mostly sunny day, aside from some lingering coastal fog. Light easterly winds, though somewhat breezier along the south coast.
Highest temperatures of 21 to 26 degrees, with it to be warmest again in the south midlands.
