SWINFORD'S Eoghan Lavin got his professional boxing career off to a flying start in London tonight when he impressively out-pointed Russian fighter Vasif Mamedov in the famous York Hall venue.
Mamedov who's based in Southampton is a very experienced fighter but he was no match for Lavin who clearly won all four rounds. The Swinford man was an impressive amateur and made his transition to the paid game recently under the guidance of his trainer, former World lightweight champion Anthony Crolla.
The Mayo middleweight is hoping to be back in the ring again very quickly and build on his impressive debut with further fights in the coming months.
