Over 100 Mayo businesspeople gathered in Ballinrobe Racecourse recently, to learn about each other’s businesses, and seek cooperation opportunities. Now in its thirteenth year, Meet Mayo is a unique opportunity for all businesses in Mayo to meet each other, network and find new business partners.

Minister Alan Dillon took the opportunity to meet Mayo businesses, and hear their stories also, spending the morning in the company of businesses in the hospitality, carpentry, event planning, recruitment, homecaring, agricultural tech, skincare, food, beverage and other sectors.

Three business consultants in the areas of recruitment, marketing and technology were also present, meeting individual businesses to discuss their business challenges.

Meet Mayo is organised by Local Enterprise Office Mayo. It is part of Mayo Ideas Month – a month long celebration of business innovation, new ideas, new technologies, new techniques, and new ways of thinking about business. www.mayoideasmonth.ie

John Magee, Mayo County Council said “This event is a unique, and very valuable asset to the Mayo business community. Because it is open to all businesses, it brings together businesspeople who would not frequently meet one another, and that sparks conversations and learnings that can change the way these businesses operate and speeds up innovation every year the event is held.”

Mayo Ideas Month concludes with the Mayo Business Awards in Geesala today, Friday, November 6.
